Sheenhok Charitable Foundation
Set up in July 1994, Sheenhok Charitable Foundation has supported over a hundred charitable organizations to date. The Foundation’s wide range of services fall into three broad categories: care of young children, elderly in need, and education. To mention one, the “Canada China Child Health Foundation” aided in the establishment of many Child Friendly Centres in China, providing primary health care and disease prevention programmes in the area of eye care, dental service and bone treatment to infants, children and pregnant women in poor rural areas. So far there are more than 80 Centres and amongst them 5 Centres were sponsored by Sheen Hok.
Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation has also donated $500,000 to The Chinese Anti-Tuberculosis Association in China, $600,000 to sponsor a PHD student from Nanjing University to further his study in the University of Liverpool in UK. The Foundation has also sponsored the establishment of 4 School for the poor in different remote areas in China.
